Hi all,
Where is the indicator relay located on a 2001MY TD5 defender? Im struggling to see where it's stated in my workshop manual, or the owners manual. Cheers Andy |

Hi all,
I replaced my last incandescent indicator bulb on the landy today. It had 3 LED lights on the indicators (excels the wing lights), the indicators have always seemed to work ok. I changed the last indicator and all is well. However I note that the trailer light should flash once, mine never has flashed the trailer light......... I found the indicator relay - sometimes I'm pretty dumb! I put the hazards on then traced the relay ticking until i felt the correct relay. For clarity it appears to be a red relay on the furtherest left hand side of the passenger relay / fuse holder compartment. It looks like a standard relay, and from what i can tell it should be either a special adjustable relay for LED's or you need to have fitted resistors into each end your LED light. No resistors were fitted to my LED's, so i didn't fit to the new bulbs either. Whats the scoop with trailer light, should it be flashing? Any reason why it wouldn't? How can i trick it to flash the trailer light, short of hitching a trailer, and if it doesn't why wouldn't it? Thanks in advance. Andy |
