Aircon grill surround bolt size?
Hi does anybody know the size and length of the 2 capped bolts in the side of the aircon grill surround as mine are rusty and I want to replace with stainless. Thanks in advance Thumbs Up

Thought so , maybe someone has replaced them with normal headed self tapper instead of big phillps headed

I would say about 6mm so in a screw think they might be 6.3mm self tapper ( sorry not 100% as never measured them )

Just checked with a torch they are hex bolt heads with flange which bolt into a captive nut on a bracket inside the grill surround one on left side and one on the right?

Pretty sure ive never seen a normal threaded bolt , only self tappers , guessing someone has changed them before

Just recently replaced mine with A2 stainless posidrive pan head self tappers 6.3mm dia thread, 20mm long.

I had the same issue. My local Indy had packs of the pozi's from Britpart (insert expletives about quality etc) for a couple of quid:

Strangely this is supposed to be a set for the grill but actually contains 8 of the pozi sized mentioned above. On my Puma grill these are only for the two side points as being discussed. I then have 4 smaller pozi's which run along the top edge.
