Anyone have an engine watchdog temp monitor mounted on their dash and can share photos of its location. I bought one and am installing it this weekend

G-mack fitted one here which seems a very sensible place to put it and looks quite neat, perhaps give him a pm see what he says?

Ooo. That madman one is perfect. I will check the location that Gmack is using and see if I can see the gauge, mine is also LHD so it fits a bit different

Timo, I'm going to move mine! It's not in my line of sight, no bad thing as it has an alarm but the worse thing with its location is the sun hits it a lot, making it very difficult to read ! Gonna either sell it for a madman or relocate to center somewhere My 109 thread

I ended up putting it in the middle and slightly turned towards the drive so I can see it at all times. I will get a better shot tomorrow. All installed but no time for a test drive today. Did a quick run out on the motorway (20 min at 100km/h) to my sons football practice. 21c air temp. Temperature guage never rose above 65c although the old V8 guage was getting close to the red. Happy with the location as it is easily in my line of sight in front of the gear shift lever

I am guessing once we finally hit real summer it will go up much more. I have read about guys running up to 95 towing in the summer and 115 being melt point. 72 seems really low. Summer is a fictitious word where I live (North east)
not really run it much in hot air temps prob 22deg c usual summerish. Although last year I was out on green lanes on a hottish day 27deg ish motor was working hard in low range and I do remember temp going up into the upper 80s then My 109 thread

We should be getting up to 30-35c soon so it should be getting higher. Did you mount yours on the thermostat or on the engine head. I mounted mine just by the front glow plig as there is a bolt for the cables the ties right into the head
