Adventure/Autobiography fittings After Market Availability
Hey there,

has anyone information from his/her dealer about the availability of parts that are build in Autobiography/Adventure models?

I'm especially interested in the interior door handles which look much nicer than the regular ones as well as in the leather gear knobs, leather hand brake handle and full leather steering wheel.

I don't want to build a personal Autobiography but just want to exchange some parts to make it a bit more premium....

It#s possibly too early to get any information about this from the dealer?

You could always go and ask. Have you any links to any interior pictures? Normally as with the SVX with 'limited editions' whilst the items are readily available Land Rover make them prohibitively expensive to prevent loads of people copying them and as a result undernining the 'value or uniqueness' of the limited run. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I'm going to ask my local dealer about availability and prices.

jollymuckshifter has posted a pic of his Autobiography Interior. You can see the aluminium/leather wrapped door handles, leather wrapped gear knobs, aluminium door pins and hinges...

As a pointer perhaps the door handles look remarkably similar to Croytec ones just with added trim. Thumbs Up

Only picture I have available.

As for the transfer and gear lever Matt I'd like to know how much please (last photo) if you can 'save a fortune' against OEM for the 'SVX style' retrimmed or is it just an example of the leather retrim on expensive sticks? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I'm afraid those were Genuine SVX levers that we trimmed in leather Sad

Eeuuh, should I add something here? Or is my opinion about this well known? Cool Laughing

Now, I personally do not need/want anything from the Autobiography edition, but in due time there is one item which I intend to obtain, which is specific to the Heritage edition.... Whistle

Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
