Must be hard 'Somewhere In Paradise' try wrapping the rims in a mixture of palm fronds and coconut hair, soaking with coconut milk and palm oil and baking in the sun for three to four weeks on a quartz sandy beach. Work a treat and you can adjust the profile to suit!

On a serious note it really depends on your intended usage. Bournemouth where I live we have the beaches, palms (no coconuts) but not the weather as a rule. If you were to be a little more precise about location without having to trawl through your previous posts, maybe someone could come up with a solution/shipping option to get you your tyre of choice.
You will never know! Bridgestone in my opinion/usage with limited options would perhaps be my choice personally. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I've got the Michelin Latitude Cross in 7.50R16 on my Defender and I think they're good.
Never had any scary moments on wet roads, in the dry I've stood as hard as I can on the brakes and had them squealing but only once had a bit of a skid. Off road, I've had them in thick gloop and you can tell you're not in a tractor but they've been good. Edit: oh, and you can get them in the size you're after. |

I am now back home in sunny Sri Lanka - a tropical isle in the indian ocean - was in Dubai when I joined the forum but that is another story.
Usage will be 80% tarmac and the off-roading will be mainly mud, gravel, river crossings etc. Not much sand driving at all. Shipping in to here is gonna be expensive and cumbersome with customs duties, taxes etc. |

Change of mind.....Michelins probably not your cheapest option but the best in your case.

Won't really make much noticable difference. Personally and it is a personal choice I like wide hence the reason I went for 305s. Naturally in your case 275.

Def Junkie: Is there a particular reason why you want the wide tyres? Narrow ones perform better for most purposes and are often cheaper. If you're not buying them locally, 7.50s and 235s are often available as new takeoffs.

Mainly for the look. I like the wider tyres. Figured a 265 or 275 was not too over the top while giving a more sturdy look than the 235's I currently have.

I prefer 255/85/16.
A taller tyre then the 265 or 275 so more room under the diff. Being slightly narrower easier to steer at very low speeds. Brendan |

Thinking of buying Cooper St Maxx 265/75/16 for my 2012 110 Defender. Any reviews on: Highway Driving Duna Bashing Simple Rock Crawling (mostly gravely inclines) and what's the biggest size I can go with on the stock rims without any modifications (no lift, no spacers etc...) |
