Apparently there are two types of ARB bumper for Defenders - one for aircon and one without.

I've got an aircon one fitted to my 110 with a TDS winch, but you have to mount the solenoid pack elsewhere - I've mounted it centrally over the winch using a bracket supplied with the Warn XPi winch I removed. You may also have to change the winch orientation to 'feet forward' rather than 'feet down'.

The ARB bumper is a nice bit of kit, but if you've got any sense you give it a good coat of paint first while your got the chance. Mine's rusting in various hard to get at places.

I can also recommend the TDS winch - despite the massive price difference I think it's a lot better than the Warn it replaced. Dave

got any close up pics?

what would be the difference in the bumpers?

i'm guessing mines the same as every other ARB defender bumper i've seen.

None close-up but a quick search of Google images will show the differences - the air-con one sits a lot further away (probably 2.5 - 3 inches) to allow a winch to be fitted with the extended nose of an aircon equipped vehicle. The bumpers themselves look otherwise identical.

You may be able to fit a non-aircon bumper but you'll almost certainly have to cut the grill and remote-mount the winch solenoids. I haven't tried it so don't take my word for it. Dave

Some pictures taken last night in the rain Rolling Eyes I've seen a non-aircon bumper and it sits much closer to the headlight panel.

Have a look at http://gallery.me.com/nosnibod#100210&...;view=grid. Dave

ok got some good news.....well for me anyway!

it's got air-con but no front panel extension?!

so ARB will fit straight on Thumbs Up

never seen it all fitted in the front before, could be a smaller condenser but th fan is in the front etc!

next off is the auto conversion.....

Marcus,,

As the 90 has the "short" grill for some reason, I can not see it being a problem fitting a "non AC" bumper to it,,

One way of finding out though !! California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1
