Bonnet striker loose
Hi all,
I have a 51plate 90, for sometime now the bonnet has been loose on the front edge, it doesn't pop up or nout thankfully,

However, I have had a look and seems the striker / spring section on the bonnet itself is very loose and waggling around,
Can't see how it tightens up, as maybe has a nut inside the bonnet area ?

Any tips greatly appreciated Thumbs Up

Thanks all

Hasnt the pointy end got a screwdriver slot and there is a lock nut inside the spring and the bonnet has a threaded insert in it

undo lock nut inside spring at the bonnet end of spring adjust with screwdriver in slot , tighten lock nut

Sorry cant remember if they changed the design at all , but used to be like this

(sometimes you need a narrow open ended spanner to get in on lock nut )

only other type i can think of is , there is a big hex at the bonnet end of spring thats the lock nut

That seems the right description, but I turns easily I'm guessing the captive nut inside the bonnett isn't captive anymore ?

Just screw the whole thing clockwise still it stops then adjust so it goes straight into the slam panel hole and then nip the lock nut up with a spanner. Ray
