Hi Folks,
I have the original LR heavy duty suspension / twin shocks at front and rear of the coil spring on the rear of my 110. The drivers side shocker has packed up, it is the rear of the two. My question is do I need to replace both (i.e. the rear two off side and near side) or all four. If so what shockers would you recommend, I don't do any towing, no seats in the rear. However is has an internal 8 point Performance and Protection roll cage, which I would imagine is a heavy beast. Thanks in advance  Adventure isn't paved!Last edited by GSLRO on 19th Mar 2015 9:37pm. All four IMHO....
Best code of practice is that whatever you do to one side of the suspension/rolling gear you must do to the other. I learnt the hard way as the stresses caused the other side to go shortly afterwards. From an old thread..... If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Front and Rear 6 shock absorbers
did think of the rear 4 in one go, and as off to the Pyrenees in June better safe than sorry!

What Mal said above, pairs front or rear or all four.
Ideally all four unless they are only a few K in miles between them but in all honestly pairs should be fine. |

All four being done next Friday, new shocks and springs for my 10 year old Defender 90!

Purchased and awaiting fitting 4 x All Terrain's for the rear and 2 x Big Bore for the front. Hope it makes a little bit of a difference
