td5 hicup
help please. i have a 2005 defender which i love to bits,but has just got a little problem . she will miss fire now and again, usually when i go around a left hand corner. i have recently replaced the maf and fitted a new injector loom even though there was no sign of oil at the ecu. really starting to bug me. any ideas

It would probably help to have the fault codes read and perhaps a live data read if you can get the problem to appear "on demand". My gut feeling points to a short in the throttle potentiometer loom which may be rubbing when you are cornering or the earths in the compartment under your seat where the ECU is.

Thanks for reply,just awaiting the code to arrive for the hawkeye so I can use it on my defender,hoping this will help. This problem has just occured since we went off roading last month.
