I would go through insurance, and just pay the glass excess.

Cracked? You have a laminated heated rear window?

Would a Puma one fit?
Try giving Spectrum Motor Centre a Call, they did have earlier this year 2 brand new one's. I've now got 1 fitted. 2015 Audi Q3 Quattro S Line Plus 184 TDI Stronic 2010 90 SMC Over Land Nero Edition - Santorini Black Metallic (Now Departed) |

I wondered about this. The last defender rear window I 'popped' did pop bigtime, leaving glass fragments all over the interior when it exploded into dust! This was a heated clear one from a 1991 model that I knew was already bent as it was visibly curved, an off road knock took it over the edge..... |

I got a brand new take-off one from eBay (£48 delivered) and fitted it myself, all you need are a few basic tools and a pair of strong thumbs, easy job Optimists say the glass is half full..
Pessimists say the glass is half empty.. Engineers say the glass is twice the size it needs to be! |

When mine went it was cheaper to contact
http://www.vehicleglazingspecialists.com/ (Formally LandyGlass) & a very nice man, who effortlessly sent me one of his take off parts TT "Ease your worries, Clear-up your woes, Go into your garage & put stuff into rows." |

The last time mine went was when it was parked outside my house overnight, no I'm sure it wasn't someone trying to break in, it just went. The saving grace was that I had put privacy film on it so allthough it was shattered, it stayed in place. It was the three attempts by Autoglass to get the right replacement, it only took them 8 days from me phoning them to actually fitting the right glass
