ECU for remap?
I can't find any company in Sweden remapping Land Rovers, so I'm thinking of sending my ECU to BAS for a remap.

Now... is it possible to buy a second ECU and having that one remapped and then just install it in my car or will that cause issues with the odometer and the alarm? (and/or other things)

Speak to Pete at BAS Thumbs Up

As I found out when he mapped my 2.2, if you are sending another ECU to be mapped it has to be a new ECU not a take out - Pete will explain why. He also sells new ECU's.

I run two ECU's, no issues with odometer or alarms etc.

Love it Thumbs Up

The engine is a lot smoother and quieter when cruising, rpm reduction is probably why.

Acceleration, especially 3rd, 4th and 5th, is really good - taken a few Audi/BM drivers by surprise Laughing

Couple of small niggles that I am sure I will get sorted sometime. Still get a bit of Kangaroo'ing in 1st/2nd but I am sure most of this is due to the sensitivity of the throttle pedal. Rev hang from 4th to 5th is more pronounced especially if I am driving it hard. Same or slightly worse fuel consumption but that is down to the fact that I do like to make use of the power now available Whistle

Overall it has made the vehicle a lot more drivable and also made it more enjoyable to drive.
The only downside, if you can call it that, is the fact I have got to put the standard ECU back in this week so I can get the vehicle serviced - no I don't trust the dealer not to wipe it clean !!!
