2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Manual Java Black
Testbook platform

What computer kit are you guys using to connect to your defenders?

Ive just sent my blackbox back as it is US and the company is worse.

I know nanocom are developing one now and that the new testbook company are bringing one out soon, so what do you guys use?

You can buy (although I so so so strongly dont recommend it) blackbox £500 - they will get the harp out for you about how they only make £170 if you ask for support in under a month.

the new testbook platform is comming as is nanocom.

You can buy autologic for £6-8k but that is good kit.

So yes a little wait would be my suggestion

I have a resonably priced basic piece of kit that will supprot the puma, it realy does depend on what you are looking to do on what kit you actualy need.

My basic BAS Remap switch will give you engine fault codes and clear pendingor present DTC'S
It will desplay the fault codes as a generic P code used by most manafactures nower days.

With a quick google with the readout P code can be turned into wording that will help determine your cars fault or problem.

or try something like this for a basic tool and goodvalue for money.

Admittingly not the best tools on the market but a good start to basic diagnostics for the home user

Then the cheapest full option is IDS which the actual dealer tool.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-MAZDA-JAGUAR-LA....m14.l1318

Far cheaper than the after market tool available for 7 or 8k

Im not related to that ebay advert so i cant speek for the seller, but this is the same as dealer tool interface without the fancy trolly and battery charger etc etc.

Regards Pete

You have to be careful with a lot of IDS interfaces on ebay & the like, as they are chinese clones, which don't function as they should.
