Diff Housing Stud Replacement
The lower stud on the rear diff housing has taken some damage and the thread is now stripped, as a result I have a slight weep of oil.

Looked through the manuals but can't seem to find anything.

Has anyone changed one out? If so where did you get the new stud from.

Thanks in advance.

These are the ones for the rear I believe:

Although i believe a different length is listed for drum brake axles.

Thanks for that.

Just found them on LR Direct as well.

Looks like its half shafts out, diff out then hammer the stud through and hammer the new one in. Simple......... Shocked

Another Saturday morning project.

I would say use a socket and g-clamp to press old one out and new one in to reduce the chance of damage to the sealing face of the axle casing Smile

14lb sledge hammer to get the diff off the axle once the nuts are undone and plenty of sealant to refit with Thumbs Up

Any thing extra to consider as it's an ARB locker?

You have to be carefull with the airhose on the outside and the airpipe on the inside. That's all. Roel
