No taking, looks good to me.
Only thing id look at is the mounting. I've got a Douglas motors one in the garage to go on my next one, (mahosive chunk of metal ) It has a lot more mountings to the cross member and like you im fitting a hitch. Cant see from yours so will just say from mine at this point, but as ill mount it permanently im having lower support (heavy duty lower supports) to the chassis as bracing (like the factory hitches). Admittedly mine will be for the odd bit of heavy towing so think ill need them, but take it as yours has less mounts you'll be doing the same? Either way looks a nice job your doing Defender puma dormobile camper |

Thanks SailingTom
It mounts using the 6 threaded holes in the face of the crossmember and the 3 underneath. You are correct, the bars from the chassis will bolt to it aswell. I regularly tow 3.5t and more so I designed it to stand about 8tonnes and some abuse 2003 Td5 90 2013 sport hse 2012 700 raptor quad 2012 siromer 4x4 tractor |

That looks another impressive bit of hardware Nick...
Even if I cannot picture it finished and fitted (until you post the finished jobby!)... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

Best way!
Pleased with my Douglas motors one, aspects of it I dont like, but only paid £150 on ebay so dont mind altering it. Put some pics up when yours is done as sounds like were going down the same route. Defender puma dormobile camper |

@ Rog, It is getting sprayed tomorrow morning so fitting after lunch...or should I do the company accounts ?....winch fitting it is then
@ SailingTom, I looked at the Douglas bumper and it seems a nice bit of kit, just a bit big for me as it would wreck my departure angle when "playing off road" or as my wife says "attempting to drive up things only a brainless k*ob would do" 2003 Td5 90 2013 sport hse 2012 700 raptor quad 2012 siromer 4x4 tractor |

Click image to enlarge This full bumper looked quite neat from when Twisted did that full camo vehicle a couple of years ago. Best picture I could find of it. Will yours still have tow hook etc Nick? |

Looking really good Nick and certainly making sense, fit wise, for me now... Not sure about the colour though... Maybe that nice shade of Green you have used elsewhere... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

Looks really good Nick, we still want pics when its fully done though
BTW. the twisted one is the douglas motors bumper the same as mine, but ive fitted a hitch under it like Nicks. Unlike Nicks though its not removable so ruins the departure angle, but as it only goes on grass that doesnt matter to me. Defender puma dormobile camper |
