Removing Waxoyl from bodywork
Having swapped my deeply offset Twisted Performance rims for Bowler ones I've now removed the old eyebrows, which were massive and looked totally ungainly and out-of-place with the new rims, but now need to clean up the adjacent bodywork before attaching the new set of reduced-width eyebrows.

My issue is this: what's the best way to remove the layer of waxoyl that's covering approximately a couple of inches of bodywork immediately adjacent to each wheel arch? Any particular recommended cleaning agent/solvent that will give me a head start?

Above suggestions are perfect, personally I'd use WD40.
Wear a pair of disposable gloves and be careful there isn't any grit in it.

Petrol on an old cotton rag - it's the cheapest and best option in my experience
