Hi James, I have no experience of locks 'n stuff, unfortunately for you, but fortunately for me perhaps...
But, there is a great discussion about Tracker Systems < click here... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] Last edited by Venomator on 12th Nov 2014 2:21pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Thanks for your reply, I'm going to go down that route and some beefy steel pedal locks rather than an imobiliser and alarm system I think. Should be just as effective.

Alarm and immobiliser (factory fitted)
Pedal Lock Alpha Dot SkyTag That is my current set up - kind of think there is not much more one could really do apart from wheel lock and a Rottweiler in the back! |

You can buy full lock sets which can come with a the Ignition barrel, 2 door locks and sometimes the rear to I think though never had a rear door so never really look!
Only thing you have to be weary of is the lock design changed late TD5'ish to use a longer barrel system. I need a set and have these difficult to get hold of barrels. But Island 4x4 do a full set for about £80-90 IIRC. I have had the tab open for weeks, but alas I now cant find it! Funnily enough ... just found it (a man of many many tabs open) ... http://www.island-4x4.co.uk/steering-lock-...-7626.html Does your Passenger door have a barrel then? My 2004 doesn't! All off the fob, except the drivers door with the barrel (had a broken key in it since I've had it hence needing the new set!). |
