Wales 2007 Defender 90 Other CSW Trident Green
Adequate punishment for Land Rover thieves

• Two Defenders facing opposite directions.

• In the middle of the two Defenders place thieving scumbag.

• Tie ropes round legs and arms.

• Secure ropes to rear tow ball one vehicle for legs the other for arms.

• Place vehicles in low transfer first gear apply throttle to both vehicles

• Ignore screams

• Job done!

You've seen the (original) film "The Hitcher" then? With Rutger Hauer? Bow down

Just for good measure they have been back AGAIN! 4 times in 2 weeks! Still not managed to gain entry to the house though.

Sounds like you need police protection Fozz... Shocked

I thought I had been quite well behaved recently and not upset anyone, someone obviously isn't too happy and they will be less happy if I ever catch them!

The keys have all been sent to the insurance as is normal protocol.

Unfortunately the other half is too scared to live there now, so looks like we will be moving in the not to distant future. Which is less than ideal as we are expecting our second child after Christmas.

That beggars belief (they can't be the sharpest if they're that bad at breaking and entering!). I know if sounds daft, but (assuming there's nothing else tasty they might be after) have you thought of putting a sign in the window advising them that the keys to the stolen landy have gone to the insurers?

What have the police had to say about the constant attempts?

Just received a letter this morning informing me the car has been found or atleast what is left of it. Chassis and engine, both of which have been burnt out. The guy said they had stripped everything off the car and was surprised at how much they had taken off it.

I would imagine these are going to start appearing on ebay etc over the next few weeks Big Cry

Sad Sucks.

Very sad to hear that. Guessing the police have nothing much to go on?

I suppose do lots of ebay saved searches for anything land rover related and white and see if any parts locally keep popping up that look a bit suspect.

I have been watching ebay like a hawk since it went missing as I had a pretty strong suspicion it would get stripped.

It certainly does suck, b'stards... Big Cry

I suppose the only consolation, if there is such a thing in these tragic cases, will be that it hasn't been found wrecked but repairable, which you would never feel the same about for sure... Shocked

At least you know where you are and can make a fresh start, as hard as that may be... Wink
