BOING Noise !!

Basically describes the noise I'm getting at crawling speeds from the bulkhead pedal box type area !
My mrs has told our 4 year old it's a mouse on a diving board !
Which he thinks is hilarious I on the other hand am not so joyous of the thought my TC or abs is buggered !

Has any one else had this ?

I know the noise you mean but ive only herd it when i programed he car for the saudi speed limit warning.
I have not herd it a slow speeds i must admit.

Call in to my garage if you wish and ill put it on IDs diagnositcs and take a peep for you.

I also had the boing noise a couple of times in my old TD5, and likewise with my almost new Tdci - stopping smartly at very low speed seemed to do it, but i can't recreate the conditions. As you say, from the pedal area of the bulkhead, but only very occasional

not sure if we're talking about the same thing here but yesterday I had a bong sort of noise (mechanically gerated not like a diliberate electronic sounder) which I believe was a result of the traction control operating?

I too had this boing noise - And I too thought it might be the ABS modulator, then I considered the front suspension springs may have reseated off centre - but then a week later I found, under the clutch pedal on my rubber floor mat, 2 grease covered grey plastic parts. I didn't know what they were - took them to the dealer.

They refitted these clips - they go under the springs on the clutch pedal.

The boing noise has gone.

I get the same boing sound when traction control comes on, it is very noticeable at slow speeds and can still be heard at high revs but is less obvious.

I would love to know what it is caused by as it sounds like a spring sound, to me.
