My14 or my15
Can anyone tell me what the differences will be between a my14 and a my15 vehicle?. Just looking to replace my double cab and been offered both of these new. Looking at xs double cab. If no suitable vehicle can be sourced then it will have to be a factory order and a wait until December .

As with many things, taking the 15 MY option will probably mean value is held better. (That's assuming you're being offered them for the same price?) An engine to TDi for!

If the new ones have a black headliner I hate to think how much it would cost to buy on it's own.

14 my was a bit cheaper. Can't find a sales person who knows the difference between the two and non know of the roof lining . Looked at a utility today that had black roof lining but that was part of the black pack option.
Anyway, think I might have a utility over the double cab, but won't be having the black pack. Hopefully do a deal tomorrow!

Would make a refreshing change to have a black roof lining I suppose . The roof lining on the black pack was like an alcantara material, I'm guessing this is not the same as the standard black lining?

Deposit on a utility today. Should be here in a month. Will be nice with the black roof lining. Just need to add all the extras!

The Model 15 Year has the following :

Black Alcantara Roof Lining (In XS Models)
Traction Control (This includes a new steering wheel fitment which takes a new boss if you decide to change the big steering wheel)
A new location for the Tow Electrics.

The black pack (not worth the money) does include the black roof lining but this comes as standard with XS models.

We have October and November slots for 15MY that are spec changeable .

I guess it's personal choice, but why anyone would want a black roof lining beats me, with dark seats, dark dash, dark carpet mats it would be like driving a coffin - I would pay more for a lighter airier interior Confused

^^ You make a point there, but it should be ok as long as you also tick the box for the optional sunroof which greatly helps to lighten up the cabin. This raises a question which I have had for some time now. Does the black Alcantara roof lining also comes with XS models or with trucks wher the Black Pack option was ticked which also have the factory sunroof box ticked? Sofar I have not seen any model year 2015 on here which had the black roof lining together with the sunroof.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
