Upgrading axles from 10 to 24 spline
I believe that in order to upgrade to Ashcroft locking or LSD diffs I'll need to change my axles from 10 to 24 spline spec. Does this mean that I'll also need to change my CV joints? 1990 Defender 300TDi

Why not fit Ashcroft HD CVs and halfshafts at the same time?

Or just Ashcroft HD shafts, 23/24 spline, so they'll fit the 24 spline diffs and also the (stronger) AEU2522 type 23 spline CV's that were used in the earlier 10 spline axles.

This is what I used to have in my old 90 (apart from an ARB locker diff), worked very well.
