Pro Comp Es 9000 +2"
Does anyone have experience with Pro Comp shock absorbers?
Now I have billstein standard height shocks and they really need a replacement, the rear of my defender is way lower than the front and the ride is really hard! all the rubbers are also worn out.

I had a look at Koni but the prices are way to high for me, my brother has terrafirma on his disco 2 and after a year they also are nearly gone.. so any advice?

greetings Louis Locufier

I had a set on mine and took them off after a year. IMHO they are cheap, poor quality. The vehicle handled like a pig on roller skates , and they were all rusty and tatty looking in no time.
If Bilstein or Koni are out of budget, I would look around for alternatives. If you didn't need +2, I'd put new puma take offs on.

spring height is the issue on the rear not shocks.

Procomp/Terrafirma are mcuh the same, good as a disposable item, ie fit them where you expect them to be damaged before they fail, ie back of off roader. seals go on both quite quick.

save the money and get OMEs. Cheers

I used procomp on my challenge truck the entire time I used it. Never had an issue with them leaking or failing. They were quite hard and didn't give me the axle droop I wanted. But then I was never going to win comps in my truck so it didn't become such an issue.
Would I have them again. Yes, without doubt Thumbs Up 110 D250 SE HT
