I contacted Clive (pressbrake) from Black Sheep Offroad a few weeks ago and he said he was just having a month off making them whilst he moved house/workshop.

Hoping to order one in June myself.

So if he will no longer supply them, but someone can get the measurements.

I would possibly be able to supply them (depending on interest), although wouldn't be able to fit them

I've got one on my 90 and it's excellent.
Only problem is it's a bitch to get the measurements off Very Happy

Just wondering, how can you galvanise a crossmember that has to be welded in? Or is it just the very rear of it that is galvanised?

Fortunately the 110" I've bought just had a new one fitted Very Happy

The receipt reads:

To remove towbar assembly and fuel tank plus all wiring along cross member.

Lift body from chassis. Cut off complete cross member plus section of chassis nearside and offside.

Fit and weld new cross member and chassis sections.

Paint and wax oil.

Labour: £640 plus VAT

Paint and materials: £75 plus VAT

Cross member: £195 plus VAT

Total: £1,092.00 Shocked

Glad I didn't pay for it but does look a neat job

I am taking delivery of an old defender that needs a new cross member but as this is a project I would like to do the work myself.

As this is a 90 truck cab I was after advise on how to tackle the project. I read somewhere the simplest way to do the job is to drill out the rivets in the pick up bed to remove the floor but any suggestions welcome!
