2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 HT Fuji White

110 van cargo area to cab bulkhead

Having searched a bit, I've been unable to find a solid bulkhead to blank off the area behind my 110 van's seats from the cab. This is a two door 110 hardtop incidentally.

I'm thinking of a steel sheet with just a small hole to allow the rear view mirror to remain in use and that also doesn't stop the seats going fully back.

Does anyone know of such an item please? I could make one, but at this rate, Defenders will have gone out of production before I've even driven mine!

Think DIY is your best option,they do come up for sale occasionally as the utilities trucks fit em,but I don't think they are off the shelf products,outa curiousity why a solid cargo barrier? Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

Not a genuine supplied item. Fitted by Special Vehicles to vehicles for Utilities.
Companies selling ex- utility vehicles may have one, taken from a vehicle if a purchaser didnt want it

If it's a commercial vehicle, depending on what you're carrying (e.g. fuel, chemicals) you should have a solid barrier to prevent hazardous substances entering the cab. A dog guard wouldn't cut it as, in the event of an accident where a liquid container was punctured, it would not prevent the driver and/or passenger from becoming contaminated.

Cue discussion on whether the bulkhead would actually prevent liquid entering the cab.

Thanks folks. I want to be able to make the load area as secure as I can as I sometimes have some expensive kit in there. If the felons can only attack the back door to get to it, that makes it that bit more secure (or it should do once I've finished my back door mods).

A dog guard will give you the correct shaped frame and fixings -

which you can then 'panel over' with steel or aluminium sheet, leaving your 'mirror' window.
