if it was me i would do 1 sheet on the bonnet insert pieces, then 1 sheet per front door
or buy another box and do everything 
Edit: just saw its a td5, youll need two sheets to do the bonnet inserts, then split one sheet in half and do the bottom halves of the doors CSK Automotive

Thanks. Maybe I should buy a bit more ... But trying to save the pennies for the next big mod...
I will go for the bonnet first: do I need to cut templates for best fit and is the dynamat hood liner worthwhile, weighing up the cost/benefit and that I should be saving money!! Cheers |

You don't have to buy a pack, there is sheets you can buy. It's on E-bay.
I have two brand new rolls of tape (black) which I have had from late last year. £15 for both if you wanted them, rrp about 20 ish. Can't see me doing it this year. Last edited by custom90 on 9th Jun 2014 5:43pm. Edited 1 time in total |

As the roof is the biggest flattest panel that is most likely to "drum" I would put all three up there

Surly the biggest improvement will come from doubling up on the transmission tunnel

As dynamat is a vibration damper it won't really make any difference doubling up on the tunnel unless it's very rattley

Thanks for the replies.
I haven't been using tape with the dynamat, should I have been? Also running 1.2 disco ratios which seems to have reduced transmission noise/whine. |

You should use the Dynamat tape to seal each piece ( the seams) and to keep everything in place.
After all if you don't do the seams it's not sealing it all properly. |

You could always cut what's left into lots of very small pieces of approx 10mm x 20mm and insert one into each ear, they'd last ages

I'd go for the roof.
As dynamat is a vibration damper, not a soundproofer per se, you only need to cover approx. 25% of a panel to massively reduce the resonation. |
