2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Stornoway Grey

Limp mode

Ok guys I have a 57 plate 90 2.4 tdci done 52k with no problems it's had a stage 2 JE tune on from new and started to play up first thing I have noticed is that it's black smoking quite bad and 3 out of five days heading to work slips into limp mode no boost and no engine management light.
I changed the gasket the other day between turbo and manifold as that was leaking and also ended up changing the manifold due to 2 nasty cracks still the same !since then I have plugged it in to a diagnostics and found an over boost fault code any idea why this is and why does it not bring a dash light up
