Tom - there's one listed in the 'new products' section of LRO this month. From 'tunemydefender.com', listed at £834. Says it's made by Hayward and Scott in 304 stainless. Tris. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

@Tom - I had a feeling you might say that! Perhaps a longer-term 'goal' purchase. I'd like to get a full stainless system on mine one day, when I'm feeling particularly flush. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

Had mine mot'd today. Asked tester about cat, his reply was "you've got this remapped? If yes it's a modified engine so doesn't need a cat"

There's a thought Whistle

Well I'm not really worried about the MOT as such, as most MOT testers are fine about it Whistle The whole dubious way in which this ruling was introduced means people are not 100% sure about it, so in amongst the confusion I'll play ignorant for a while and follow your MOT testers lead. What I would worry about though is if it isn't legal, then insurance can become a problem, as can VOSA - who really need to lay off Land Rovers and pick on something that really deserves it, like Jeeps Mr. Green

Problem I have is its my mate with a defender who is my MOT tester that told me I need to sort it for their garage to issue a pass. I could go elsewhere and risk it, but rather a garage I know and trust does it.
Ive bought a genuine Cat pipe which ill have re-fitted.
Seems the easiest way, specially as they'll only get more clued up, rather than risk a fail prefer a 100% car
