if your on about the six holes you can see under the spare wheel & above the centre of the step
not 100% on this without going to look ( I will go have a look for you ) but I think they have to be longer than 30mm as the threaded part is behind cross member , so the bolts go right through so 30mm wont be long enough |

They should be standard pitch M16, not fine pitch.

because they a structural bolt are they fine pitch , think they maybe are (say again I think not 100% sure )

As stated above they are an M16 ISO Standard coarse series thread, 2mm pitch, not fine series (1.5mm pitch). You have the wrong thread. Grade 8.8 is entirely adequate, but socket head capscrews will be 10.9 unless otherwise specified.
