Not sure if posting that link is such a good idea? But thanks anyway, they are about 3 miles from me and wishing to 'try before buy' I shall arrange a visit to get me an all in one key.

The XS with the bonnet stolen was mine,

I know they were after taking it as they unscrewed all the covers from around the steering column and neatly put it on the back seat. it looks like when they could not get it started they started stripping it, they even cut a hole in the dash to the left of the steering column ! The alarm did not go off and they did no damage to any of the locks, all the doors were unlocked so it looks like they popped the central locking somehow. We know they stood in the garden opposite until the lights went out in the house.

Bonnet ECU Alarm ECU Stereo all gone ignition barrel smashed. driver’s seat up.

Still waiting for it to come back from the Garage.

Not a happy bunny ! House now lights up to death at night beeper alarm goes off inside the house if anyone walks around or through the perimeter of the garden front and back and covert CCTV all over the front of the house and down both roads off the house so if they come back for it at least I have something to give the old bill. S3 88 1972

So they knew exactly what they were doing. Interesting the hole cut in the dash. Was it a neat cut i.e a hole saw type jobbie? 1999 Defender TD5 110

The cut was a very neat square cut through the contour of the dash. It would have taken me hours to cut something that neat ! S3 88 1972

Not Sure but I think the Alarm ECU on the Puma lives behind the driver’s side speaker looking at the plugs. I have been told that if you have a donna Landover put three items out of that into any other Puma it will start !

So fit an extra Alarm and Immobiliser, also New bonnet hinges that don’t allow you to lift the bonnet off. S3 88 1972

Think he means 'donor' .. as in another one to hand ... Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.
