Quota fulfilled
Have we filled our quota for punctures for 2014?

Driving at night coming downhill in a hire car, BANG wheel noise so pulled into large layby behind a Toyota Landcruiser. Layby already had two cars in. Both of which had punctures from same pothole

Front N/S tyre flat, hire car jack not working so locals provided another jack and they soon found out that seals on hire car was plastic and not designed for jacking.

Space saver wheel spare was fitted, not only thinner but smaller and shall we say rather well worn. Before we left car number 5 with flat tyre joined the party!

Off we went to the hotel and 5 miles down the road the spare went bang even though kept speed down to 30 mph. Ooops.

Phone call to hire company and the boss come out to rescue us. First problem was their trolley jack too large to fit, but with a bit of jiggery pokery it finally lifted the car. Next outcome the alternative spare wheel. Slight snag wrong size!. Outcome other spare wheel which fitted.

Hopefully we have fulfilled our quota for punctures for 2014

In all my years of motoring I have only had to fit a spare twice, once not for a puncture but a steel belt failure. Windscreens on the other hand that's a different matter. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Laughing @Mal.

Well hopefully our quota of aircraft related events is filled for 2014.

Plane had not even arrived by time we were due to depart. Nothing unusual about delayed departures.

Plane aborted landing at KL after flaps extended/wheels down due to a tropical rain storm.

Into holding pattern and then divert to JB for refuelling before returning to KL. Once at Leeds/Bradford it took 3 attempts to land that particular plane. Had trainee pilot that day Razz

First attempt at take off from JB was aborted for some reason. First time for that for us.

So hopefully we have fulfilled our quota for punctures and airplane mishaps for 2014 Thumbs Up
