2011 Defender 130 Puma 2.4 HCPU Galway Green

Oil for 2.2 Tdci

Dear Mike,

Could you please tell me what oil to carry as top-up for my new 2.2 110 (with DPF). The hand book just states "Land Rover recommends Castrol" and "5W-30" (of which there are a bewildering number) and Castrol's website just says "refer to main dealer" for the 2.2 with DPF. I assume it will be ether Magnatec or Edge.

I am also interested with your answer ...
I have also a def with puma 2.2 with DPF and I know that I am not using the right oil.
no informations in the ownerbook, in one manual they talk about WSS-M2C913-B.
unfortunally, I am using WSS-M2C913-C ....

in TOPIx 5W/30 – WSS–M2C934–B

The correct specification oil for your vehicle is as follows:
5W/30 – WSS–M2C934–B

Thank you Mike, still not sure which "castrol" oil (as recommended in my service book and hand book.......) that relates too - the hand book states the castrol oil for all other applications........

If you could clarify the castrol oil (as per handbook....) I require that would help, thank you....

Mobil 1 15/30 fully synthetic for me .Not cheep but 1st class and changed every 4000miles

Castrol EDGE Professional C1 5W-30 is suitable for use in vehicles that require a 5W-30 lubricant that Meets Ford WSS-M2C934-B specification.
