Sorry to hear about the broken pipe... sounds like it added a bit of stress to what should have been a relaxing trip.

A question, if you wouldn't mind answering:

I am planning to go this route in 2014 when we head down that way. What was the journey time from St Malo? V8 90...WIP

The ferry we missed sailed to st malo, and to our destination from st malo I had worked out it would take us about 2.5/3 hours not rushing, but the ferry we ended up taking docked in Caen so another 1/1.5 hours were added to the journey time. Of course the second break down added another couple of hours on top of that too, so for us it took 6 hours Shocked

Oh dear, sorry, I wish I hadn't asked now Smile At least it all worked out in the end.

Thanks for the information, I hope future trips run smoother for you. V8 90...WIP

Ha ha no worries. Because the ferry we took docked earlier we actually got too our destination at the same time as originally planned (even with the break downs) it was just a little stressful for a few hours Big Cry great holiday after that though. We've decided to go to the same place next year and do a little further afield exploring next year as long as the defender holds together Rolling with laughter

Well at least it hasnt put you off! So it was a fuel line that caused al the fun, I suppose thats just one of those things, Ive got a load of tape and circlips and other pipe repair stuff so if it does happen I will almost definately be able to make a very poor attempt at roadside repair before calling the AA Laughing Michael was just telling me a story about a friend of his who slept with a land rover, lonely nights in the desert..
