For several weeks I started in the construction of a lift-off roof. At the same time, I modify the Interior to take advantage of the new offer by the roof space. It is a long work and there are lots of things to do but it advances.

Really interesting to see a roofless Defender !

Keep up the good work, that's quite an ambitious project ! Thumbs Up

In France they don't like it much because it is too dark in front. I have not had any problems yet, but it is a risk.

=====

Guess the risk in France is a ticket and "please come back in one week with the tinting removed"

It seems that French legislation forbids any kind of tinting of the front windshield, but there's a complete lack of ruling for the other windows.

Down here (clearly due to the intense heat) mine are tinted allowing 40% of the light to get in, except for the front that is a 60.

I'm glad with it, but it's slightly too dark at night.
Hence the auxiliary lights Whistle

Joke aside, if I was to do it again, I'd go for slightly less darkening, but still polarised, this is just brilliant !
...until you wear polarised sunglasses Laughing Chris
