When you receive them I would also recommend replacing the locks on three of them to match the 4th.

Came to fit my new 591's today only to find that the clamps don't fit around my First Four roof bars Rolling Eyes Not insurmountable but it's going to need a little bit of engineering resolve. Darren

They fit my Thule bars but they dont fit my Karritek roof bars, instead I have to use their 'T' Track system where I slide a T Bolt into the roof bar runner, and then use the cam locks that came with the carriers. Something a bit like this...

Finally managed to fit the bike carriers today. Due to the size of my roof bars, I've had to invest in some new hardware to mount the things, which included some 80mm and 120mm 6mm ss bolts, some dowel nuts and some flat bar brackets that I had to make:

These combined with the mounting points and cam levers on the racks resulted in this:

I've mounted the racks in two pairs across all three of my roof bars, which will make it easier to load from the sides using a step. It's a rubbish picture but hopefully gets the idea across:

I'll give loading them a try tomorrow. Darren

Finally got some bikes on the roof today. Not as difficult as I thought it might be and the Thule 591's are excellent - very easy to use:
