KarlB welcome to the site. I believe (but sure I shall be corrected if not) that the driving lamp option available to the Puma Defender is the one where the lights are mounted adjacent (slightly inboard) of where the main headlamps are, they are mounted on the bumper itself.
They also have a wattage rating over here of 65 watts to comply with legal legislation. This was the only 'standard' option that was available four months ago when I discussed it with the parts department at my local dealers. In my opinion (and it is just that a personal opinion) you're much better off considering the myriad of alternative lights available on the market Roo, Lightforce etc. etc. to get the look and requirements you need. You'll also get them a damn sight cheaper where you are compared to what we pay in 'Blighty.' You also have to consider future modifications, winch bumper, a-bar, chequerplate etc. and if they will still fit. Happy hunting. Hope this helps. I should have said in my original post I am in the process of making some final decisions on what options to put on a new D90 I plan to order in the next few weeks. The 90s are just returning to the Au market after several years absence.
Grockle: what made you decide on the PIAA kit as opposed to aftermarket lights? Does any body know if the loom is available separatly from the lamps? Part number? |

I have the land rover safari 5000 lamps and land rover had the hella lamps on the accessories brochure for the puma which I fitted under the bumper couldn't fix them over because of the radiator which would be covered and since I have a A frame bar. '08 LR Defender 110

We have them on teh TD5 and they are awesome, but we lost a cover from one when we had the canoe on the top. Replacement costs £34+VAT

I have Hella Dynaview mounted on the bumper where the LR units should go.. they have 2 100w bulbs in each unit and one stays on with main beam and one comes on when cornering to that side to see the apex of the corner... very handy in a Landie... not!! 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
