9 seats
Hi, it is insurance renewal time and already vexed with sureterms attempt to retain my business. They wont insure 9 seats (full stop) and even with 7 seats they wont go beyond 8k miles per annum....pants Whistle

Anyone else had the 9 seat issue?

I will get going on the other normal insurers tonight, thanks in advance, socks Sweatysock

Different country I know, but never had any bother with the number of seats in a 110 when it came to insurance. I'd just shop around or try a broker and let them get you quotes. There will be a small brokerage fee on your policy charge but worth it.
I've been using a broker for years and it always comes in at a better price than when I try individual companies myself. Biggest difference I got was €200 between the broker price and me going and getting quotes myself. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Flux were okay with 9 seats in the past, although that may have changed. NFU call centre wouldn't insure me as it was a 9 seater. NFU local branch "No problem sir, that's how they came out of the factory" Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

I have just re-insured through Privilege and the issue of number of seats has not arisen. I entered my reg no and the system selected the right variant so I accepted the quote .

Just re insured and went with Flux. It was £300 fully comp with mods declared and 7 seats etc. The like for like price for 9 seats was £95 more. I enquired why and was told the premium was due to the fact that "people" had been intentional faking accidents with 9 folk in the vehicle and all saying they have whiplash....what some folks do for fun eh Sweatysock

When I first got insurance with Adrian Flux they wouldn’t accept a 9 Seater so I had to remove the rear bench seats to make it a 6 seater to keep them happy. Apparently if it is over a 7 seater it is classed as a mini bus and require you to have that part on your licence too.

Would be interesting to know if that is still the case....
