ECU extension loom/lead
I have seen a Terrafirma one for over 300, but it was for a TD5. Shocked Seems a bit much for some wire & a plug.

Are there any cheaper that are good enough. Also what is a good higher place to put the ECU? Are any made for Pumas? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

TD5 looms need moving if doing a lot of wading,,

Pumas on the other hand don't seam to,, Ball ache to move anyway

How deep are you planning on regularly going ?? California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

Not reguarly, but the floods last winter made me shy away because of the ECU's positioning.

Are the accelerator electrics unaffected by flooded footwell? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

I highly doubt they would be unafected and I bet they aren't waterproof. Not LR's problem really eaither as they have their wading depth listed on sale / in the handbook and that depth is around halfway up the wheel IIRC or there abouts so no where near that deep. td5 engine ecu is under the seat. puma one is on the bulkhead behind the instr panel. the latter i think is the best place for it, not often you get full depth of water at that point.

no point extending it to the roof as you will have more problems before it gets that deep, plus if you roll over, its at the lowest point! Cheers
