New Vehicle, non standard head unit question...
If you ordered a new vehicle and ask the dealer to source a new DAB/BT head unit. They do this, advise of cost, which you accept(though it's dearer than going to Halfords myself, I figured get it done up front and save hassle). My question is, if you paid for XS model, what would you expect to happen to the factory equipped stereo unit?

Would expect it to be left on the passenger seat for you,, complete with code,
So you can fit it back in, on removal of your upgraded unit California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

Would depend on what you paid for the new HU. If it was the difference on top of the LR units value then it's their own to keep hold of / use. If you paid full wack for a new HU and normal pricing for the LR then the original LR HU and the new HU is yours too.

That's how I see it anyway. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧
