As long as your fan is working then no problem.

Some people argue that the 300 TDi is a cool running engine so no need for a working fan.

At normal road speeds you will get a decent ram effect through the radiator cooling the rad without a working fan.

At low speed without a fan then you have no ram effect then there is a serious risk of boiling the coolant especially when grinding your way uphill under load.

So a clean rad, a working fan and it will be

Can someone point me in the direction of where to buy brackets so I can mount my lightforce lights under my A bar? Currently I have them mounted on the top of the A bar and it looks a little silly.

I ran all last year with 240's in addition to winch and A-Bar and it made no difference whatsoever. Plus there is AirCon and a fully insulated bonnet.

Just for reference, in addition to the above I also have a Radiator Muff on at the moment with only a small opening and it still doesn't make a difference.

I don't suppose this 'dealer' didn't have 240's in stock, but was trying to persuade you to go for 170's or 140's instead?!

You can restrict the air flow that will end up increasing the engine temp and reducing performance.

Take a look at the location of the numberplate on J-Lo. The fitting of the powerplant and the numberplate restricted the air flow resulting in the issues just mentioned. However these issues only occurred at high external temperatures, when loaded, climbing up hill at high altitude. Non of which will be found in the UK

I removed the numberplate and all was fine.
