TransK9 Dog cage
A TransK9 dog cage which is simply the best you can get. I'll need to get pictures on but in short, its a large version which fits just astride the wheel arches in a rear tub, and roughly the width of a rear door. it comfortably takes three large dogs with room to spare and they can be locked in.

They're rattle free, secure, aluminium, lockable crates with grey coated solid sides and rear with vents, double doors in black. The solid sides are preferable to a traditional cage as they contain all the mud and hair.

It's been used and has some marks etc typical with living in the back of a DC and having five dogs piling in and out. But is in a perfectly serviceable condition.

This is what it looks like in a landy though mine is wider as it just sits astride the arches. http://www.transk9.com/images/uploads/B8La...bLarge.jpg

However this is the model:

http://www.transk9.com/index.php/boxes/b12/ Although mine has a single lock on each door.

There is the odd scratch etc most notably there is a rub mark on the back where it's rubbed against the mounting point for the spare wheel in the rear tub of my double cab - although in use, you'll never know it's there.

Having measured it, i'd say the max base dimensions are 97cm wide and deep (square base)

The max height is 73 cm.

The rear of the crate slopes slightly inwards, so the top dimension is slightly less in depth (idea being it fits behind the sloping rear seat on a discovery or alike.

As you can see they retail at the best part of £500, I'm looking for £250.

What's the exact size of the rear door opening?

I've updated the original post with a link to the exact model:

http://www.transk9.com/index.php/boxes/b12/

and also the dimensions:

The max base dimensions are 97cm wide and deep (square base)

The max height is 73 cm.

The rear of the crate slopes slightly inwards, so the top dimension is slightly less in depth (idea being it fits behind the sloping rear seat on a discovery or alike.

I doubt it... You'll need 97cm of depth between the bottom the seats and the rear door.

I'm not even sure it'll fit into the back of anything other than a pick up variety as it may not fit through the rear door.. I'd need someone to measure to know for sure as I have a double cab with a drop down tail gate, but if its slotted in on its side it would need a door opening of approx 73cm.

Nightfreight would probably ship it for about £70. They couriered an ifor canopy to me for about £90.
