Im sure someone much more knowledgeable will be along soon, but If its the relay connections, I had a similar problem with my windscreen wipers relay connection (worked after wobbling it a bit).
Sorted it by slightly bending the relay pins inward. May help a bit, just make sure you don't snap them off  |

ECU relay comes loose and leads to this.
Happened to both of my TD5s, I thought this had been solved in the Puma but apparently not... On my TD5 I replaced the relay but it made no difference, in the end I wrapped a cable tie around the relay and the socket so it kept the relay pressed into the socket and never had the problem again. I don't know why it happens specifically with this relay and socket, maybe the relay used has thinner legs or the gaps in the socket are set slightly to wide but it is common and something to hold the relay down should sort it. |
