Tdci squeel.
My '07 Puma with 40k on the clock has developed a squeel at exactly 2000rpm. It goes away at either above or below this engine speed, and seems to go away under load and on over-run. It is worst when cruising at that engine soeed, which is most of the time.
Any ideas?
cheers
Pete

Is it more of a high-ish pitched warbling/chirping sound than a squeal?
If so, then mine does that!! '57 Defender 110 XS Station Wagon 2.4tdci

Maybe a slipping belt or stuck tensioner?

It's likely to be a leaking manifold/Turbo joint.

as wslr said.

I develop the same issue and finally was the manifold
At the beginning you will not see any effect in the power.

Cheers! Eduardo
