2011 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SW Keswick Green

Bolt of diff broken?

Could ist be that the bolt in the rear diff of my 90ty is broken after this:

Yesterday I had to drive a small step up like a boardwalk. Slowed down, second gear, accelerated but the car didn't move for a second like there had been a barrier. Then a loud "Klong", a metallic sound and the car moved. No barrier found. Car drives like ever. No other sounds than the usual.

Now there is the guess that the bolt in the rear diff is broken. What do You think? Is that possible without a strong force?
I have driven only streets and highways until now.
