Wading plugs
Anyone worked out an easy way to fit and remove the wading plugs on a TD5 XS?
Bloomin' great deflector/insulating plate under engine and gearbox that prevents easy access.

Pretty sure it doesn't have them as it's a chain driven camshaft.

Wouldn't do any harm to fit a full set of extended breathers though.

Hope this helps, just get someone else to confirm about the plugs though.

it doesnt have them

it does have a bung though (bell housing) that can be removed periodically to check there is nothing in there that shouldn't be.

not many of them have that insulated cover thing, none of mine ever did so dont know how to easily/quickly remove it. Cheers

Thanks chaps Very Happy
The cover looks like it's not too difficult to remove, just inconvenient if you were trying to fit plugs in the gloop.
Just wondering why the toolkit came with a pair of wading plugs and a spanner to fit them. Maybe no-one told Land Rover Rolling Eyes
