Td5 "ticking" noise
Bit of an odd one this, and so far has stumped everyone I've asked.

I've got a faint ticking noise, sometimes louder sometimes quieter.

It happens when you lift off at higher revs, I'm guessing around 3000 rpm. I did think along the lines of simply something rattling like belt tensioner etc. but its happens on exactly the same rpm's in any gear, so Im thinking something a bit more major.

It's done it for 6000 miles with no sign of getting worse, but its something that bugs me.

Could it be in the injector rocker shaft region Confused

not sure what it is, ive often asked this question myself. If it makes you feel any better, all three of my previous Td5's did this and they were mechanically fit during the time I owned them. my feeling is that its normal Thumbs Up Land Rover's don't leak oil, they simply mark their territory!
