Drive Round Hogmoor Inclosure 8th April
Hello All

Just to let you know and offer an invitation to the driving day held by the Hants and Berks LRO Club at the Hogmoor Inclosure near to Bordon, Hampshire.

In addition to the normal drive round and following on from the two British Army Motoring Association events that i have taken part in recently we have decided to include a taster navigational event for those that would like to give it ago. This will be made up of punches / letter boards and gridrefences (my own so you cant use GPS!)

Full details below, any questions just ask

Hope to see you there

Cheers

Mark

RTV & Drive around day at Hogmoor Enclosure (including Navigational Event)
No matter what you drive, as long as it’s a 4x4 you are welcome to come and join the Hants & Berks Land Rover Owners Club at there:

April drive around day (and Navigation Exercise) at the Hogmoor enclosure, Near Bordon, Hampshire On Sunday 8th April 2012 ~ 10am to 3pm

Hogmoor offers a wide variety of terrain to suit all levels of off road ability.

A perfect introduction to off roading for novice drivers through to some more tricky bits for the more experienced driver.£25 gets you entry to the venue and all the off roading you can handle!

We will also be offering all drive around entrants the opportunity to take part in 3 navigational exercises:
1) An un-timed navigational exercise to collect way point information
2) A timed 'scatter' event collecting as much way point information as possible
3) A timed navigational event using various route instructions to collect way point information

If you are not a member of an MSA affiliated 4x4 club you will need to join ours this can be done on the day for an additional fee of £5The event is open to all types/makes of road legal 4x4 vehicles up to a max gross weight of 3.5 tonnes (sorry no quads).

A recovery point on the rear of your vehicle is a must (a tow bar is sufficient) and a front recovery point is helpful but not a requirement.

Catering will be care of 'SPOILT4CHOICE'

Hello All

Just bumping this up as the public drive round and fun navigation challenge is on this weekend at Hogmoor near to Bordon, Hants

I was on site last weekend to confirm the maps and placement of the varous letter and number boards and now in the process of putting the maps and score card together.

If you are at a loose end or the InLaws are threatening to spoil the Bank Holiday weekend then get out of the house and come here.

I would recomend that you bring along the following

Marker pen
Highlighter pen
Ruler or set square (showing cm's and mm's)
Clipboard

For those that dont know Hogmoor it is in the main sandy and none damaging. For the drive round there is also access to areas within the trees and give a little more of a challenge.

Regards

Mark
