rear slide window on my pickup
Hi all, tearing my hair out. trying to change the seals in the rear window of a 110 pickup cos they have perished, stink and are driving me crazy with the infernal rattling, can anyone help me. do i have to take the window out or can i just use wd40 and blind rage, great forum btw. Richh it does exactly what it says on the tin.

You will find that the seal has a central bead to it. Look around the edge of the seal for a smartly cut join in the rubber. Stick something small in there and pry it out and you will see it peel out the middle a bit like one of those tearaway strips that you tear to get into a pack of biscuits.

Once that is out, you will find the seal and windows come out much easier. Just remember to take them out wearing a pair of rubber gloves, as they will give you good adhesive properties to the glass.
