1989 Defender 110 V8 Petrol CSW Cairns Blue
Southampton/Portsmouth area
I am hoping to buy a new defender later this year. Does anyone in the Southampton/Portsmouth area have any experiences of the local dealers. Anyone care to make a recommendation? I would appreciate any views. I have been waiting a long time to buy a new 110 and hope it will be an enjoyable experience.

I bought my 90 from Westover at Christchurch and found the sales and admin people knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I can't comment about aftercare as they will not be providing it.

Hey knrv8 welcome to the forum - I am from Whiteley (J9 M27) so virtually on your doorstep.

I have no experience of local main dealers as I bought mine 2nd hand from Brooklyn4x4 in Nursling.

My Dad bought a couple of Disco's from Wessex Landrover - who are now Guy Salmon in Port Solent - but that was 6+ years ago so not much use really.

The dealerships are ranked on how good they are from customer feedback enquiries. It would be interesting to see this list. Harwoods Edenbridge have been very good for me and apparently they are ranked number 7 out of over 100 branches Thumbs Up

Harwoods have just bought Guy Salmon at Gatwick. Maybe the service will improve Rolling Eyes
