D350 for MY25
Pistonheads have an article about the changes and options for MY25, standout for me is the option of a D350 engine, I also like the look of the captains chairs for the 130.

2016 Defender 130 Puma 2.2 HCPU Santorini Black
So bizarre to drop the 6cyl and retain the old V8 for improved emissions. Same to put the weedy 1.5 3 cyl hybrid in it.

I understood they were changing the platform to fit the 6cyl hybrid from FFRR and RRS into Defender. If they are doing the same for the others I can’t imagine much love for a hybrid in the FFRR and RRS anymore. Fine in a disco sport, not in a 3T …

Autocar are saying that the revised hybrid is a de-tuned 2 litre rather than the 1.5l. They also state that
“The Defender is now available in a simplified range of trims comprising S, X-Dynamic SE, X-Dynamic HSE, X and V8 variants, with the same choice of 90, 110 and 130 bodystyles.” Not great for those customers wishing to save thousands on matt black trim and who are not fans of Robustec.

The U.K. configurator isn’t updated yet so hopefully more will be revealed then.

D350 a welcome and logical move though wished they’d addressed some weaknesses first
- headlights
- crude ACC
- windscreen strength
- turning circle (fit JLR’s 4 wheel steering system)
- Meridian

Knew I should’ve waited I bought entry level 90 which was HSE, now it’s back to S spec at fraction of the cost. Though I’d probably blow that going for D350.

I'm really struggling with them, ongoingly erasing their glorious heritage by deleting the iconic Land Rover badge, that somehow turns the Defender to a no-name car from the side-view and pushes the signature graphic now to ultimate pointlessness. Sad

With the massive increase of similar Asian products entering the market, my strategy would be the exact opposite thus to post the iconic and extremely well established Land Rover Badge wherever possible!

Landrover has totally lost it's way. If you want all this crap, buy a Range Rover and don't sully the Defender's utility reputation any more than it already has been.

My 24MY HSE doesn’t have it

I was lucky, my MY24 HSE has the Clearsight, new configurator is now a paid option - glad I have my Defender already as I see the roof options have also changed (I got the White Roof). Tony

MY24 - 110 D300 HSE in Tasman Blue with White Contrast Roof. Air Suspension, Off-Road Pack, Towing Pack, Three-zone Climate Control, HUD, Cold Climate Pack, Classic Mud-Flaps, Fixed Side Steps, Wheel Arch Protection, Rear Recovery Eyes. Plus a few extras to keep the Cocker Spaniel safe & happy.

To be honest I had it on my XS Edition 110 but couldn’t get along with it.

Soft close tailgate £200 option, no option of 18” steel wheels, only for the Hard Top. I do like the cloud interior. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
