Worse than brazilian diesel????????
In my 90" now with 10000 km, I don't had any problem. In an LR brochure, one time, I read that the new Defender (puma), had a preparation for different diesels around the world. In this brochure said that the Defender can consume diesels 30% diferent one of another. |

Yours should be fine. The non-EU ones have a wider tolerance of Sulphur. EU regulations require that the tune is different for local markets to meet emissions criteria. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

From a south Africian on LRUK see: http://forum.landrovernet.com/showthread.php?t=76585&page=2 A lot of my clients have had huge hassles with modern Nissans, Toyotas, and Mitsubishis. One client in Gabon has been running a fleet of Nissan Patrols, and they are getting a maximum of two years life out of them before they need replacing as they become too unreliable. When they used the old diesel Landcruiser pickups, their replacement time was over 5 years. Mitsubishi pickups in the Gambia last less than 18 months, but then there's NO preventative maintenance done on them, and the level of maintenance is "dodgy" at best. Diesel quality is also a serious issue. Best is use 350 - 400 cc good two stroke engine oil every 100 liters of fuel!!!
try this way and the new common rail have twice and more life |

This story of two stroke oil is true for all diesels?
It helps to mantein the common rail sistem? It wouldn't bad for the motor, creating carbon on pistons, rings and other parts? |

Thanks for the replies. 2-stroke oil never did any harm, I'll replace filters regularly and blank the egrs and see how it goes.

I'm new in eletronic diesel engine.
In the old's and "the best way" (in my opinion) diesel injector pumps, we use to put some oil with the diesel. So What is EGR? and How we "blank" it? I imagine that is some eletronic sensor. |

Hi Gabriel, EGR is Exhaust Gas Recirculation. The EGR valves can sometimes get stuck due to excess carbon deposits. Please see this thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic358.html?highlight=egr

Although S is not good for engine oil, it is good for the fuel system, including the high P pump. Puma 110" SW
