Puma 2.2 water temperature sensors.
I have a 2.2 Puma with overheating issues so was going to change the temp. sensors before I start changing anything else. I purchased a cylinder head temp. sensor which is listed as being for the 2.2 and 2.4 but I can't find the existing one at the back of the cylinder head; where it is supposed to be. Can anyone confirm that the 2.2 does actually have a cylinder head sensor? I do have a water temp. sensor on the top radiator hose.

The temp on the 2.2 is read from the sensor on the right hand hose leaving rad there isn’t a cylinder head sensor there is also an oil temp sensor on right hand side of engine on opposite side of oil cooler.

What mileage on it may be worth ordering a new thermostat also, simple job.

I've already got the thermostat, was going to replace with the sensor. Done 106K but engine replaced (by a previous owner) at 90K. I have an ongoing overheating issue that I hope isn't the head gasket.
